Nathan's Famous Inc. has reported results for its second quarter 2011, ended Sept. 26.

The Coney Island-inspired company's net income was $151,000, compared to more than $2 million for 2Q 2009. However, revenues were up 9.3 percent, to $16.2 million as compared to $14.89 million during the quarter ended Sept. 27, 2009.

For the year thus far, net income is $1.8 million, or 32 cents per share, and revenues are up by 9.5 percent. The company is experiencing its seventh straight year of revenue growth.

Nathan's products are distributed in 50 states, the District of Columbia and four foreign countries. The Nathan's restaurant system includes 234 units, 228 of which are franchised or licensed.
