Subway has named ParTech Inc. (PAR) the 2010 Rookie of the Year for outstanding performance in technology. ParTech is in its first full year as Subway's sole point-of-sale hardware supplier.
The annual award is presented by Subway and Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC), an independent franchisee-owned purchasing cooperative.
Since 2009, PAR has supplied POS hardware for Subway, including PAR EverServ 6000 POS terminals and the required peripherals. PAR also provides the chain's franchisees with optional on-site service and professional installation.
"In its first full year as a hardware supplier for Subway POS, PAR has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance in customer service, continuous improvement, operational execution, and feedback from franchise owners,” said Marina O’Rourke, director of retail technology, Subway. “As a new technology vendor, PAR worked diligently to become a true partner and we are pleased to recognize the company’s important contributions to our success."
