CKE Restaurants Inc., parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, is offering up a chance to win the Black Beauty Car from "The Green Hornet."
The "Key to the Black Beauty" game and sweepstakes is a partnership between CKE Restaurants and Sony Pictures in anticipation of the Jan. 14, 2011, release of the 3D action film.
One grand prize winner will be handed the keys to a fully-loaded Black Beauty car from the movie.
Other prizes also will be rewarded, including Southwest Airlines vacation packages, limited-edition "The Green Hornet" PSPgo Systems, Sony home-theater systems, Sony electronics, movie tickets to see "The Green Hornet" and Carl's Jr. and Hardee's gift cards.
To participate, guests at either restaurant can purchase a limited-edition, 42-ounce "The Green Hornet" collectors' cup, co-sponsored by Dr. Pepper. Each cup features a unique code that guests can enter upon registering for the promotion on Carl's Jr. or Hardee's Facebook pages.
The grand prize winner has a choice between the Black Beauty with non-operational prop machine guns and other faux-weaponry from the movie, or one without the weaponry. The latter car is street legal.
The car features a Chrysler Imperial Crown body style, which was manufactured in 1964, '65 and '66. It is enhanced with a brand-new engine and accessories. The prop weaponry on the non-street-legal car includes hood guns and front and rear bumper rockets.

As an alternative to the in-store cup promotion, guests can also obtain a game code in the official rules section of each restaurants' Facebook page.
To build upon the excitement of the upcoming movie, the Black Beauty car will tour the nation, stopping at some Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants.
