Jack in the Box has debuted its newest antenna ball promotion to raise money for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization, a donor-supported network of volunteer youth mentors.
There are now more than 28 million "Jack" antenna balls in circulation.
This year's limited-edition antenna ball features the Jack in the Box logo wearing a pink knit beanie. It's available for $1, plus tax, at all participating restaurants and while supplies last.
Seventy percent of proceeds from the antenna ball promotion will go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, which has been a charitable partner with Jack in the Box for more than 10 years. This is the third year the restaurant chain has sold a limited-edition antenna ball for the group, raising a total of more than $700,000.
This year's funds will focus on providing mentors and support to children from military families with parents deployed overseas.
Jack in the Box has long supported military families, including the launch of the Big Brothers Big Sisters' Operation Bigs program in San Diego in 2004. The program has expanded from the Camp Pendleton Marine Corp Base throughout San Diego, and the restaurant chain has held various fundraisers for its cause.
Also, in the beginning of 2010, the Jack in the Box Foundation committed an additional $1 million to support Big Brothers Big Sisters' military programs.
