Baristas Coffee Company Inc. has named Thomas E. Metzger as its chief operating officer. He has also been appointed to the board of directors.
Metzger’s duties will include expanding the Baristas business model and brand throughout North America.
Baristas is a new coffee concept in the quick-service segment that features drive-thru espresso locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. The concept features female baristas in costumes.
“Of all of the companies and concepts I have been involved with, I feel that Baristas has the greatest potential for growth given today’s business environment; I look forward to growing Baristas into a nationally recognized brand,” Metzger said.
Prior to joining Baristas, Metzger served as CEO, president and COO for numerous restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck, Sizzler Steakhouses, Boston Market and Kenny Rogers Roasters. He also has development experience at brands such as Cinnabon and Wendy’s International.
