Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has opened its 50th Canadian restaurant in Guelph, Ontario. The location is part of an aggressive growth strategy of the Popeyes brand throughout Canada.

Popeyes will continue to increase its market presence in Ontario throughout 2011, and will shift focus to Quebec and Alberta in 2012. The company’s plan entails opening units from coast to coast by 2015.

"This is a celebratory occasion in Canadian growth," said Todd Sattler, Popeyes International marketing manager. "Our hard work and loyal guests have enabled our rapid expansion – allowing our 50th restaurant to succeed."
