Carl’s Jr. is set to launch in the United Kingdom. The chain, which specializes in 100-percent Black Angus beef burgers, celebrity-laden advertising and a cult-like following, has plans to appoint franchisees throughout the U.K. in territories that can support 25 or more units, according to Eat Out Magazine.

Carl’s Jr. already exists in 18 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia and China.

Ned Lyerly, executive vice president of franchise development, said: "We're on our way and are confident of finding companies capable of investing £16 million plus for a 25-unit licence.”
