Burger King raising funds for American Red Cross

Once again, Burger King Corp. will partner with the American Red Cross by providing customers with an opportunity to donate $1 at restaurants throughout the month of April to go toward the organization for the purchase of emergency response vehicles.

Donations can be made both at Burger King counters and at drive-thru windows. All contributions will be used for the purchase of these vehicles, which distribute food and water following a disaster.

Burger King has facilitated donations for the ARC for many years, raising funds ahead of emergencies such as Sept. 11 and Hurricane Katrina.

More than 300 emergency response vehicles are used by the organization throughout the country, providing necessities to nearly 70,000 disasters each year.
