On May 15, Original Tommy's will offer 65-cent Original Tommy's cheeseburger and Coca-Cola combos in Los Angeles at Beverly and Rampart boulevards to celebrate its 65th anniversary.
The hamburger chain was established in Southern California in 1946 by Tommy Koulax. The first Original Tommy's was (and still is) located on the corner of Beverly and Rampart.
In 2011, Original Tommy's began celebrating 65 years at 33 restaurant locations across California and Nevada through a special Tommy Tuesday promotion in which a secret word is revealed weekly to give customers a 65-cent menu item on Tuesdays. The 65-cent menu item is voted upon by Facebook fans. The ongoing Tommy Tuesday promotion is only valid for specific locations which rotate weekly.
To continue the celebration of 65 years, Original Tommy's invites fans to its anniversary party on May 15 at the Beverly and Rampart Boulevard location and will offer special promotions, including:
- 65-cent Combo Anniversary Deal: On May 15, Original Tommy's will offer a 65-cent Original Tommy's chili cheeseburger and Coca-Cola combo only at the original location on Beverly and Rampart boulevards. The anniversary combo deal is available only on May 15 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Limit five orders per person.
- Original Tommy's 65th Anniversary Party: On May 15 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Original Tommy's invites customers to the Beverly and Rampart location to enjoy a 65th anniversary party. The company's catering truck "Shack on Wheels" will be on site to offer combo meals. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m.
- Tommy's Anniversary Countdown Giveaway: On April 15, Original Tommy's began counting down the days until the anniversary and is randomly selecting one Facebook fan each day to win Tommy's promotional swag such as t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts and more.
- Share your Original Tommy's Story on Facebook: Fans are also invited to submit stories about their favorite Original Tommy's memories throughout the year. Original Tommy's will hand-select a few stories to post on the Facebook page.
