Jubilant Foodworks just announced a net profit growth of 86 percent year-over-year. The company's net sales were up 56 percent from last year, and same-store sales jumped more than 33 percent.
Most of the Q4 momentum came from Jubilant's Domino's Pizza outlets, according to Money Control.
Jubilant Foodworks is a master franchisee in India for both Domino's Pizza International and, as of recently, Dunkin' Donuts.
Ravi S. Gupta, CFO and president of Jubilant Foodworks, said the company opened 72 new stores in FY11 and plans to open 80 new Domino's units this year. It also anticipates the opening of between 80-100 Dunkin' Donuts units within the next five years.
Additionally, the India Times reported that Jubilant will launch its first Domino's unit next month in Sri Lanka, marking the beginning of an expansion plan outside of India.
