In the first six months of 2011, Krispy Krunchy Chicken has opened 132 new locations throughout the country. The convenience store staple already has 600 locations in 25 states and is on track to open a total of 300 new units this year.

According to Convenience Store Decisions, Krispy Krunchy is on a six-new-stores-a-week pace.

The newest locations are in the Louisiana, Nashville, Central Alabama, Georgia, Louisville, Ky., Atlanta and Memphis, Tenn. markets. St. Louis, southern Florida and Columbia also opened new Krispy Krunchy outlets.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken features Extended Shelf Life (ESL) chicken; chicken exclusively produced by Tyson; and Halal chicken, all with a proprietary preparation process.
