Eaton, Ohio-based Henny Penny Corporation has been named a Yum! Brands' STAR Award recipient as KFC's U.S. Supplier of the Year for 2010.
Receiving this honor places Henny Penny in the top 3 percent of Yum! Brand's suppliers. Yum! also includes Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver's and A&W.
Henny Penny, a foodservice equipment manufacturer, was given this recognition primarily for the success of its AHC-993 Holding Cabinet, a product that KFC uses to ensure its customers receive hot, fresh chicken. With its precise humidity controls, durable construction and variable footprint, the AHC-993 delivers efficiency and quality to KFC's stores every day.

Yum! uses its STAR (Supplier Tracking, Assessment and Recognition) system for supplier evaluation and tracking. KFC engineers were the key determiners for the award recipient.
