Five years after being founded and two years after adding a franchising component, Yogurtland has opened its 150th store in Bakersfield, Calif.
The new Riverwalk Bakersfield store is located at 10930 Stockdale Highway.
Yogurtland now exists in 150 locations in 16 states and U.S. territories. By the end of this year, the company projects more than 200 stores worldwide.
At the company's annual franchise conference recently, Peter Bassi, former chairman of Yum! Restaurants International, and Tom Davin, former CEO of Panda Restaurant Group Inc., were named as the first members of Yogurtland's newly formed advisory board.
Bassi and Davin will help develop a long-term strategy to accelerate Yogurtland's growth throughout the next three years with a goal of opening 550 stores by 2015.
