Baskin-Robbins has announced its March Flavor of the Month will be 3-Point Chocolate, which includes chocolate ice cream with a salty caramel ribbon and orange-colored caramel pretzel balls.
The flavor is the newest to join the chain's extensive flavor library and marks its debut nationwide March 1.
The 3-Point Chocolate is being introduced in March to coincide with the NCAA basketball tournament.
It will be available by the scoop and also as a sundae, with hot fudge, Reese's Peanut Butter Sauce, crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and whipped cream.
"We love creating innovative new ice cream flavors that build excitement among our guests, and 3-Point Chocolate is no exception," said Stan Frankenthaler, Baskin-Robbins executive chef and vice president of Innovation at Dunkin' Brands. "3-Point Chocolate combines some of America's favorite flavors – chocolate and caramel with salty pretzel bites – and is a fun way for our guests to get into the college basketball spirit and celebrate one of America's favorite pastimes."
In addition to celebrating college basketball season with its new flavor, Baskin-Robbins stores are offering customizable ice cream cakes for select college basketball teams. Custom cakes can be ordered in advance at participating shops.
