New dessert items are available at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide, including chocolate-chunk cookies, specialty sundaes, mini sundaes and classic fudge brownies.
According to The Republic, the new items replace Chick-fil-A's lemon pie and cheesecake slices, which have been longtime dessert staples on the menu. The lemon pie was one of the first items when the chain first opened in the 1960s.
Brian Ray, Chick-fil-A's general manager and brand strategist, told the publication that the new items are affordable, small treats designed to meet consumer suggestions.
Additionally, the chain's popular banana-pudding milkshake is also now available for a limited time.
The new chocolate-chunk cookie, served warm, is available for $1.09. The classic fudge brownie no longer includes walnuts, and is instead topped with fudge icing, and sells for $1.69.
The specialty sundaes are made with Chick-fil-A's vanilla "Icedream" and are available in either fudge brownie, for $2.95, or chocolate-chunk cookie, for $1.75. The sundaes are drizzled with Hershey's chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Mini sundaes, starting at 99 cents, are also now available.
In addition to the limited time banana-pudding milkshake, cookies and cream, strawberry and vanilla shakes are available.
