The Bojangles' Southern 500 Pace Car is hitting the road in South Carolina in celebration of its inaugural year sponsoring the Sprint Cup Series race at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway on May 12.
Race fans will have an opportunity to sign their name on the official Bojangles' Southern 500 Pace Car, a Toyota Camry, that will parade around the track on race day and to win Bojangles' racing-themed prizes during the pit stops. Each hour at all of the events, a drawing will be held to give away two tickets to the Bojangles' Southern 500, and everyone who enters will have a chance to win the grand prize: a VIP weekend for two to Darlington.
Highlighting the Bojangles' Southern 500 Pace Car Tour will be an appearance by Denny Hamlin, driver of the #11 FedEx Toyota, at the April 25 tour stop in Darlington. Hamlin will pose for pace car photos with fans.
The Bojangles' Southern 500 Pace Car South Carolina tour includes:
- Darlington on April 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 1524 South Main St.
- Charleston on April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 2508 Ashley Phosphate Rd.
- Columbia on April 29, from 1 to 5 p.m., at 2800 Clemson Rd.
- Myrtle Beach on May 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 10594 North Kings Highway
"Sending the official pace car on a tour of South Carolina is a way for us to bring the Bojangles' Southern 500 to race fans across the state. Even if they can't make it to the raceway on May 12, they can take a lap around the track by signing the official pace car," said Bojangles' senior vice president of Marketing Randy Poindexter.
