SSP America, the North American division of SSP Group and an operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide, has received unanimous approval by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (SDCRAA) Board for a third food and beverage package at San Diego International Airport (SAN).
This agreement adds an additional six brands to SSP's lineup, bringing the total number of its operated locations to 17. This makes SSP the primary concessionaire within the airport's food and beverage program.
San Diego International ranks as the nation's busiest single-runway commercial airport, serving just under 17 million passengers in 2011. Projected growth for the airport is set at upwards of 27 million passengers per annum by 2030.
The six new brands include SSP's own award-winning UrbanCrave, serving up street cuisine, and SSP's newest authentic Mexican fare, Mango Taco Truck. This new package also includes San Diego home-based Jack in the Box and Ryan Bros. Coffee, along with 2 Peet's Coffee & Tea. SSP's full list of restaurants that are set to debut at SAN are:
