The Dairy Queen system is kicking off the summer season with the addition of new menu items, including the debut of the Sweet Apple BBQ GrillBurger, the new Turtle Brownie Blizzard Treat and new Royal Shakes flavors.
Adding to the lineup of signature GrillBurgers, the quarter-pound Sweet Apple BBQ GrillBurger is layered with bacon, onion slices, leaf lettuce, a slice of thick-cut tomato and pepper jack cheese and topped with a sweet apple BBQ sauce that features real chunks of apple. It is served on a home-style bakery bun.
Turtle Brownie is the featured Blizzard of the Month for June. Made with a mix of pecans, caramel and brownie pieces blended with vanilla soft serve, Turtle Brownie is served in mini, small, medium or large Blizzard Treat sizes. Also debuting this month are new flavors of the Royal Shakes, which include Mint Chip, Caramel CheeseQuake, and to celebrate the cookie's 100th birthday, Oreo.
"Just in time for the first day of summer in June, we are focusing the spotlight on some innovative new treat flavors and of course our famous GrillBurger," said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). "We are satisfying our customers' cravings at lunch, dinner and snack time with delicious new menu options at an outstanding value."
