The Please Touch Museum at the Children’s Museum of Philadelphia now features an interactive Rita’s Italian Ice exhibit.
As part of the exhibit, children can practice scooping treats as they operate the museum’s Rita’s Italian Ice cart, complete with uniforms, serving utensils and other props.
A celebration was held earlier this week to mark the partnership and unveil the Please Touch Museum’s exclusive Rita’s Ice flavor – Carousel Cherry.
"Rita's and Please Touch Museum is a perfect partnership," said Jonathan Fornaci, president and CEO of Rita's. "Children are learning to scoop happiness and work together while enjoying a Philadelphia favorite."
During the month of May, visitors to the museum were able to offer suggestions for the name of the new flavor. Once the choices were narrowed down, Facebook fans voted on which of the top three ideas would become the official name.
