Wendy's has introduced a new burger specifically designed for bacon lovers. The Son of Baconator features thick, center-cut Applewood Smoked Bacon on top of two 2.25-ounce patties of North American beef.
The new burger also features two slices of melted American cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise served on a buttered, toasted bun.
The new item is inspired by Wendy's original Baconator, which includes two 4-ounce patties of beef and six strips of thick Applewood Smoked Bacon.
"The thick, center-cut, fresh-cooked Applewood Smoked Bacon we serve gives customers the best tasting bacon for their buck," said Craig Bahner, chief marketing officer. "With both Baconator and Son of Baconator, consumers can now decide how big they want to go."
