Subway has launched three Angus Melt sandwiches in the Atlanta, Detroit and Nashville, Tenn., markets, as well as some Georgia markets.

According to Burger Business, the chain is featuring Classic Angus Melt, Monterey Cheddar Ranch Angus and Spicy Chipotle Melt sandwiches at 1,236 units.

The burger-inspired line had tested successfully before it escalated to a localized promotion.

In 2009, Subway featured the Absolute Angus sandwich line. The new melts, however, are "more burger than steak sandwich," according to the story.
