QSRweb's sister publication RetailCustomerExperience.com today launched a podast weighing in on the topic of brands touting their politics, in light of the ongoing Chick-fil-A fiasco.
Wednesday's "appreciation day" set sales records at Chick-fil-A, and continued to polarize millions of people in the process. Meanwhile, other retailers have come out on the opposite side of the same-sex marriage issue - Target, for instance, has launched a same-sex gift registry. On this podcast, the discussion focuses on the increasingly political nature of brands, and whether or not it is something customers want.
On the call, are two of RCE's expert retail bloggers:
Kim Nasief, founder and president of Measure Consumer Perspectives, and Doug Stephens, the Retail Prophet.
