QSRweb's sister publication RetailCustomerExperience.com today launched a podast weighing in on the topic of brands touting their politics, in light of the ongoing Chick-fil-A fiasco.
Wednesday's "appreciation day" set sales records at Chick-fil-A, and continued to polarize millions of people in the process. Meanwhile, other retailers have come out on the opposite side of the same-sex marriage issue - Target, for instance, has launched a same-sex gift registry. On this podcast, the discussion focuses on the increasingly political nature of brands, and whether or not it is something customers want.
