Hoping to continue its momentum from the Doritos Locos Taco line, Taco Bell is currently testing new Doritos shell flavors -- Flamas and Cool Ranch. According to the OC Register, this test comes as Taco Bell reported that 200 million Doritos Locos Tacos have been sold since the product's official launch in March – the brand's most successful product launch ever.
In July, Taco Bell's parent company Yum! Brands attributed its 13 percent same-store sales boost mostly to the launch.
The Flamas and Cool Ranch versions are being tested in various regions, however specific locations have not been revealed.
Also this week, the chain added the A.M. Crunchwrap to its breakfast menu. The toasted wrapped tortilla is filled with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, cheese and a hash brown.
