On Sept. 29, Krispy Kreme will commemorate National Coffee Day 2012 with a free 12-ounce cup of coffee at participating U.S. and Canada locations. No purchase is necessary.

Additionally, fans can enter to win one of 75 coffee prize packs that include free Krispy Kreme Signature Coffee for a year, a Krispy Kreme T-shirt and a coffee mug. Entries can be made at NationalCoffeeDayGiveaway.com.

Krispy Kreme introduced its coffee line in August 2011. The company is hoping to accelerate its coffee program – from about 4 percent of in-store transactions currently, to about 12 percent in 2015.
