Throughout the holiday season, Taco John's is donating a portion of each Nachos Navidad purchase to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which cares for injured soldiers who are recovering from traumatic injuries at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
"This is a great opportunity to support our heroes and their families," said Renée Middleton, vice president of Marketing at Taco John's. "Our service men and women have given so much to protect our country and this is a chance for Taco John's communities across the country to give back."
The Yellow Ribbon Fund's provides help in three main areas: housing and transportation, support programs and breaks from hospital life. For example, it provides free hotel rooms, apartments, rental cars and date nights for injured service members and their family members. After injured soldiers return home, the Yellow Ribbon Fund's mentorship program ensures they have a quality support network.
Taco John's website – TacoJohns.com/Promotions/NachosNavidad – also includes a section where guests can submit a thank you message to the soldiers online. These digital messages will be printed on a banner and delivered to injured soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Medical Center. Taco John's has been giving back with Nachos Navidad for more than a decade, donating to local charities as well as global organizations to help those in need during the holiday season.
