Burger King Corporation has filed a lawsuit against Moscow resident Alexei Makoveyev after he registered website domains the quick-service chain believes unlawfully infringe on its trademark rights.

According to Russian publication Izvestia, Makoveyev registered "burgerking.su" and "burger-king.su."

Makoveyev has a history of selling franchises that are named similarly to major companies. The next hearing on this case is expected to be held in January.
