A pretzel bun has been spotted on some bacon cheeseburgers at Wendy's locations in Miami and other markets.
According to the Associated Press, Wendy's hasn't confirmed or denied the test.
In October, chief marketing officer Craig Bahner told QSRweb that "breads are a focus and we think bread carriers are a way to leverage our capability and a way to differentiate."
Search for a 'spokesperson'
Also to mark its new Right Price Right Size menu, Wendy's is searching for its new "virtual spokesperson." The brand's social media channels and website ClaimYourTaste.com offer fans the chance to pick and choose descriptive words for the menu's offerings — such as "Pow," "Delish" and "Zingy" — for a chance to appear with their photo online as a brand advocate.
