Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. is celebrating National Hat Day Jan. 15 by offering fans a coupon for 50-percent off its new Chocolate Molten Lava Cake.
Fans can take advantage of the deal by visiting Arbys.com/HatDay and signing a petition asking the White House to declare the brand's iconic 10-gallon hat as "the national hat of America."
The new Chocolate Molten Lava Cake is a warm chocolate cake filled with molten lava chocolate and topped with cocoa crumbles. It is available at a suggested price of $1.99 for a limited time at participating locations.
"While the country has many national symbols, including a bird, tree and motto, America does not have a national hat," said Bob Kraut, senior vice president of Brand Marketing & Advertising, Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. "Arby's has been proudly serving freshly sliced meats under its renowned hat for nearly 50 years, so we feel a commitment to honoring the ten-gallon hat on this holiday."
