McDonald's new Fish McBites will be available as a Happy Meal entrée starting this week and through March.
According to the Associated Press, the 7-piece Fish McBites is the first new Happy Meal entrée at McDonald's in a decade.
Fish McBites will also be sold in snack (10 piece), regular (15) and shareable (30) on McDonald's main menu. They are made with the same Alaskan cod used in McDonald's Filet-O-Fish.
The chain introduced Chicken McBites a year ago for a limited time, and later rolled out a spicy version. Brian Irwin, director of Marketing for McDonald's USA, told the AP that kids like items that are "poppable" and can be dipped, and that the company's internal research showed that moms wanted more seafood options.
