Burger King Corp. and its franchisee Restaurant Associates Ltd., announced today that the first Burger King restaurant in Barbados is averaging 800 Whoppers sold per day.

The restaurant, which opened last month, is located in Sky Mall, a fully solar-powered mall and is designed in the company's 20/20 light format.

"We are thrilled that guests in Barbados have embraced the Burger King brand and are enjoying our great-tasting, flame-grilled burgers," said Jose Tomas, president for Latin America/Caribbean Region (LAC), BKC. "This new market entry is part of our overall growth plan to increase our brand presence in the LAC region, and it is exciting to see the business performing so well right off the bat."
