For a limited time, Sonic Drive-In is bringing back its Sweet Potato Tots, a customer favorite that was first introduced last year.
Sonic is also pairing the tots with a new offering — the Spicy Jumbo Popcorn Chicken, available in snack or large size.
The popcorn chicken features 100-percent, all-white meat and comes with two new dipping sauces: Creamy chipotle and berry spice, which includes a hint of jalapeño.
"Our team of chefs worked tirelessly to create the snacking synergy these two new items bring to the Sonic menu," said Chef Clas Petersson, vice president of product innovation. "When you add our creamy chipotle and berry spice dipping sauces into the equation, the result is a robust flavor variety not available anywhere else."
Sonic rolls out the launch of these new products with national television ads featuring the brand's Two Guys spokesmen, local radio and print advertising, digital advertising and social media activity.
And for dessert
Also, Sonic's dessert menu now includes a new Molten Cake Sundae.
The new premium sundae includes a chocolate cake filled with hot fudge and topped with Sonic's Real Ice Cream, finished with toppings such as brownie pieces, bananas, caramel sauce, a maraschino cherry and whipped topping.
The Molten Cake Sundae is the first in a series of premium desserts planned for a spring rollout.
