Burger King Worldwide Inc. announced a further menu expansion in Canada with the addition of a Chipotle line-up and new Donut Bites. The new items will be available all day at participating restaurants across Canada for a limited time.
"The new Chipotle sandwich and wrap line-up caters to Canadians' cravings for deliciously spicy options whenever they choose to visit, while our Donut Bites provide a sweet standalone snack, or addition to any meal," said Alison Fletcher, director of Marketing Canada, Burger King Worldwide Inc.
The new Chipotle menu line-up includes:
- The Chipotle Whopper Sandwich
- Chipotle Whopper Jr. Sandwich
- Chipotle Tendercrips Sandwich
- Chipotle Tendergrill Sandwich
- Chipotle Crispy Chicken Wraps and
- The Chipotle Breakfast Sandwich
The added Chipotle flavor combination includes natural Monterey Jack cheese combined with jalapeno, bacon, caramelized-style onions and Chipotle sauce. The Chipotle Crispy Chicken wraps feature a three-cheese blend. The new Donut Bites are warm, bite-sized and covered in a frosted glaze.
In the fall 2012, Burger King Canada began rolling out a major menu expansion that began with the introduction of new Chicken Wraps, Chicken Strips, Strawberry Banana Smoothies and Mocha and Caramel Frappés.
The system most recently introduced BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Sweet Potato Fries and Mango Smoothies.
The brand is supporting the menu expansion with an ongoing national advertising, including television, radio and in-store promotions.
