Dairy Queen has invited Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and the entire team to celebrate their NFC Championship win at their local Dairy Queen restaurant. According to a news release, the invitation was sparked by Wall Street Journal reporter Jason Gay, who recently wrote that Carroll "has the energy of a man who appears to want very badly to treat all of his guys to postgame Dairy Queen."
"We are thrilled that the Dairy Queen brand is so well-known and beloved that it resonates with the media," said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation. "We have always believed that DQ is a special place to celebrate all victories, and thanks to Jason's article, we'd like to extend an invitation to Coach Carroll and the entire team to enjoy their favorite DQ treats and food as our guests."
Dairy Queen also extended an invitation to the Denver Broncos, the Seahawks' opponent in the upcoming Super Bowl, Feb. 2.
There are more than 5,100 Dairy Queen restaurants located throughout the U.S., including Seattle and Denver.
