Checkers Drive-In Restaurants has announced that Maureen DiStefano has joined the company as director of franchise sales and business recruitment. DiStefano will be directly responsible for increasing the brand's presence in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
"I'm so excited to join such a well-respected and growing concept," DiStefano said in a news release. "The Checkers franchise leadership team is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and I feel honored to be a part of it now. I look forward to working with both existing and prospective franchisees as we continue to open new restaurants across the country."
DiStefano comes to Checkers with more than a decade of restaurant development experience. Prior to Checkers, she was a franchising manager for Dunkin' Brands Inc. and was responsible for the company's Northwest and Mid-Atlantic markets. Additionally, DiStefano served Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits as a director of business development and also has held management-level positions with CA1 Services and ARAMARK.

"She will play a major role in recruiting new Checkers franchisees and increasing the company's footprint in her designated territories."
DiStefano resides in Philadelphia with her husband and two children.
