Rita's Ice will celebrate the kickoff of Spring with its 18th Annual First Day of Spring Giveaway tomorrow. The giveaway will be from noon to 10 p.m. March 20, offering each guest who visits one of the more than 500 open Rita's locations a free regular size, 10-ounce cup of Italian Ice in the available flavor of their choice.
Rita's will continue giving away free ice via its Facebook contest, "Peeps Fandemonium!" The contest promotes the chain's limited-time-only Peeps Italian Ice. Beginning March 20 through April 4, Rita's will be selecting one winner each day from its Facebook fans to receive Free Ice for a Year while other lucky Rita's fans will win Rita's and Peeps Brand swag bags.
Rita's Peeps Italian Ice will be available March 20 - April 4 at all open Rita's locations.
Rita's First Day of Spring Giveaway continues to be a marketing success for the company. The number of people who visit Rita's on the First Day of Spring is more than 30 times the average number of visitors at Disney World that day, the company reports. And the 14 million ounces of Italian Ice required for the First Day of Spring would fill more than 13 tanker trucks.
