• Wendy's opts into mobile coupon program

Wendy's has teamed up with an e-mail marketing group to provide its Northeastern customers  mobile coupons delivered via text message, according to an article in Brandweek. Customers can redeem their coupons on their mobile phones when they order.
 
Options Media Group Holdings' CEO Scott Frohman said text message coupons are instantly beneficial to both consumers and brands, and increasingly becoming standard practice: Recent studies show an almost 20 percent drop in consumers' resistance to text message ads.
