Burger King Corp. is bringing the sweet taste of carnival food to its stores nationwide with the introduction of its Funnel Cake Sticks. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the sticks are lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a side of sweet icing for dipping.
Available in a pack of nine, Funnel Cake Sticks are sold all day for a suggested retail price of $1.79 at participating restaurants.
The Funnel Cake Sticks will be supported through advertising that brings the carnival theme to life. In a 15-second TV commercial that begins airing Dec. 17, the King demonstrates his fortune-telling abilities. In addition, online banner ads, launched earlier this month, describe the "wonderland of frosted deliciousness" and "exceptionally extraordinary eating" that the Funnel Cake Sticks provide.
