Following last week's announcement that Panasonic's Stingray workstation is now the approved point-of-sale hardware solution for Wendy's franchisee stores nationwide, WAND Corp. has announced its designation as the approved POS software solution for the chain's franchisees.
 
"WAND and Panasonic are solid choices for Wendy's franchisees," said Don Zimmerman, chief information officer, Wendy's/Arby's Group. "Both vendors have worked tirelessly to ensure excellent solutions for our restaurants."
 
The WAND NextGen POS software solution is simple, intuitive and easy to update. It is designed to minimize service times and employee training as well as employee pilferage through the use of detailed security rights. The full-featured software solution collects and stores vital transaction data in a fail-safe environment, allows management to easily make menu and pricing changes and generates powerful reports with real-time analysis to assist in decision making.
 
WAND's Enterprise Manager software receives store/franchise-level data without manager involvement or interrupting operations. This same tool can be used to push down price and configuration changes along with digital videos and animation for order confirmation displays and digital menu boards.
 
Panasonic's POS hardware features the successful Stingray workstation. With an innovative modular design, Stingray allows for do-it-yourself troubleshooting, servicing and upgrades, plus a high-speed processor and up to 2 gigabytes of on-board RAM. Stingray is ideal for stand-alone applications and can also be integrated into a LAN network to run even the most resource-intensive back office operations.
