Organic pizza chain Pizza Fusion has appointed Larry Feldman to its board of directors, the company has announced. Feldman owns exclusive Subway development rights to the Mid-Atlantic and supports more than 1,000 Subway franchises in his territory. Feldman has been brought onboard to assist Pizza Fusion with its national expansion as the chain continues to expand across the United States, company officials said.
"Larry's extensive experience with developing and supporting franchise territories will prove invaluable to Pizza Fusion as we create new business opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to capitalize off of our continued growth," said Mark Begelman, CEO of Pizza Fusion.
Feldman started with Subway in 1977 when he was an assistant minority counsel to the House Banking Committee. Through the encouragement of college friend Fred Deluca, founder of Subway, Feldman gave up his career as an attorney to pursue the sandwich business, opening his first location across from the U.S. Capitol.
