Advertising Age.com: Burger King franchisees recently have twice voted down the company's attempt to offer a double cheeseburger for a dollar on its value menu. Instead, the chain will promote its flagship $1 Whopper Jr. as the featured product in its national major value push in the fall. Consumers will still be able to get the $1 double cheeseburger in a coupon offer.
