Reuters: McDonald's Europe has launched a farming program to tackle a wide range of environmental and animal welfare issues. Initiatives could include cows getting weekly foot baths and water being saved in the production of lettuce and tomatoes.
 
The company has chosen seven farms across Europe to highlight examples of where improvements had been made in the hope it would encourage broad adoption across the European farming community.
