ATLANTA — InnoWare Plastic Inc. has announced the addition of two green material options to its popular OctaView line of take-out food containers – now available in PETE and bio-based resin versions. The expansion of its environmentally friendly line of to-go food containers is in response to the increasing consumer demand for hinged, earth-friendly alternatives and closely follows the launch of its two-piece Expressions product line in PETE that was announced earlier this year.
InnoWare's Hinged Dual-Color ECO Octaview containers are made of NatureWorks Ingeo resin co-extruded with Cereplast plastic, which has a higher heat tolerance (120 degrees F) than other sustainable packaging products. Both resins are completely sustainable and renewable materials that are plant rather than petroleum based.
The tan base, which conveys an earth-friendly message, combines with the clear lid to significantly enhance food presentation and merchandising. In addition, InnoWare's Eco products are U.S.-made, biodegradable, and compostable where facilities exist.
