WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. is promoting its newest introduction, the mini doughnut, with a new sweepstakes that offers customers the opportunity to drive away in a set of MINI Cooper vehicles, the company has announced.
The minis sweepstakes will give someone a chance to ride in style in a brand-new 2009 MINI Cooper. Beginning April 27 through May 31, customers can enter to win by receiving an entry code with any mini doughnut purchase at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Online registration with no purchase necessary is available at www.KrispyKreme.com.
The grand prize winner will be selected on or about June 15.
Krispy Kreme's new tasty mini treats are about half the size of traditional doughnuts and are available in three varieties, including:
- Signature Original Glazed
- Chocolate Iced rings
- Chocolate Iced rings with sprinkles

First store in Malaysia
Krispy Kreme also has announced that its franchisee, Berjaya Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Sdn Bhd, has opened the first Krispy Kreme doughnut shop in Malaysia. Berjaya Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Sdn Bhd is a 70 percent owned subsidiary of Berjaya Corp. Berhad (BCorporation).
The new shop is located at the Berjaya Times Square complex in Kuala Lumpur and is the first of 20 Krispy Kreme shops the franchisee plans to open in the market over the next five years. Located in the heart of one of Malaysia's busiest metropolitan areas, the shop will offer Krispy Kreme's unique doughnut varieties, as well as coffees, espresso drinks and iced beverages.
