WESTBURY, N.Y. — Nathan's Famous has announced a movie partnership deal with Lionsgate, Snoot Toons and Roadside Attractions supporting the May 1 launch of Battle for Terra, a new 3D sci-fi animated action adventure feature film.
Battle for Terra features an all-star cast with the voice talent of Evan Rachel Wood, Luke Wilson, Brian Cox, David Cross, Dennis Quaid, James Garner, Danny Glover, Justin Long and Ron Perlman. The PG-rated movie's storyline features a battle for control of a distant planet against an advanced race of aliens, a planet that is mankind's last hope for survival after the earth. The film promotes positive messages for living "green" and living in peace and harmony.
Nathan's Famous will promote the movie in restaurants nationwide with three collectible, specially-made Battle for Terra kids' meal toys with a purchase of a Nathan's Kids Meal. The movie's three main characters are featured in the kids' meal program:
- Jim, the Earth Force Pilot
- Giddy, his lovable robot-like creature
- Mala, a strong-willed and charming teenage Terrian girl
Point-of-sale materials and movie posters will be featured in Nathan's restaurants promoting both the kids' meal program and the May 1 movie release.
Manhattan Marketing Ensemble, New York, developed the promotional campaign and is the agency of record for Nathan's Famous.
