LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A&W Restaurants has introduced four new products to its Sweets & Treats line in its Midwest and Northwest markets, the company has announced. The company also continues its 90th anniversary with an online promotion where consumers can win cash and receive free samples of the new products every Wednesday in designated markets.
The four new Sweets & Treats offerings include:
- Blendrrrs, which feature real candy pieces
- Smoothee, made with real chunks of fruit
- Slushee, made with real fruit juice
- Limeade, with real lime
The new drinks will roll out in the Wisconsin markets of Green Bay, Madison and Lacrosse; in Flint and Rochester, Mich.; portions of Minneapolis; in Missoula, Mont.; Eugene and Portland, Ore.; Fresno, Calif.; Spokane and Yakima, Wash., and Tulsa, Okla.
According to Tim Matis, A&W Restaurants director of marketing, the new menu items will be supported through TV, print and point of purchase materials at the restaurants. Customers can enjoy free samples of Slushees in designated markets from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., Wednesdays, and can go online to www.coolyourcraving.com to enter to win $100 a day for 100 days.
