MINNEAPOLIS — After more than 200,000 mentions of the brand in the blogosphere, the Dairy Queen system has initiated the official Dairy Queen blog, the company has announced.
Dairy Queen is promoting the blog's kick off with a blogging post coupon. The first 250 bloggers to answer the question, "What deal would you make with us to try our new Sweet Deals value menu?" will receive a Sweet Deals gift card. Bloggers then e-mail blog@idq.com with a link to their post. The most creative answer will win Sweet Deals every week for a year.
The DQ Blog's initial post explains that entries will be written by Dairy Queen employees. Consumers are invited to respond, and all comments will be monitored by the Dairy Queen blog team and will be approved prior to being posted to the blog.
