Burger King Delivery adds two more metro markets

Aug. 27, 2013

Burger King's delivery system is now available in Minneapolis and Spokane, Wash. Guests in these markets can order the brand's signature Whopper and other items and have it delivered directly to them.

BK Delivers also exists in Boston, New York, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Calif., Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Denver.

Petru Pusta, director of NonTraditional Channels and BK Delivers for Burger King Worldwide Inc., said the program is performing well in its current markets, which has inspired expansion.

"This expansion was an easy decision as both Minneapolis and Spokane have some of our most loyal guests and the Burger King brand is excited to offer them the opportunity to enjoy the food they love, delivered to them in the comfort of their home, dorm or office," Pusta said.

Guests can place a delivery order by visiting BKDelivers.com from a computer or mobile phone or by calling toll free 1-855-Order-BK (855-673-3725). BK's proprietary thermal packaging technology was created to keep hot food hot, and cold items cold during transit time.

Today, BK Delivers has one live delivery restaurant in Minneapolis area serving Hiawatha, Minnehaha, Hale, Page, Nokomis, Powderhorn, Cooper, Longfellow and Corcoran. In Spokane, BK Delivers also has one live delivery restaurant serving Town and Country, Nevada/Lidgerwood, Country Homes and Northwest Spokane.

These initial locations will serve as a training ground for each of these markets; allowing operators to understand the system and to train their crew members prior to expanding to other locations.

The Burger King brand plans to open one more BK Delivers site in Minneapolis serving Bloomington, East Bloomington, Edina, Diamond Lake and Richfield. Plans are also in the works to open two more in Spokane within the next two to three weeks and will serve Gonzaga University, Spokane, Spokane Valley, Opportunity, Greenacres, Liberty Lake, Veradale and Dishman.

BK Delivers is looking to expand and would like its guests to have input on its direction by visiting BKDelivers.com.
