Carl's Jr., Hardee's reaching out to Millennials

CKE Restaurants Inc., parent company of Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, has signed an advertising agreement with OneMinuteNews.com, an online news website geared toward Millennials.

Also involved in the agreement is Initiative Media, IPG's Global Media division, which will work to create the brands' advertising messages.

OneMinuteNews.com, CKE Restaurants and Initiative will collaborate to present Hardee's and Carl's Jr. brands to the millennial user base in an interactive way. The messages will also be geographically targeted.

The exclusive relationship will allow OneMinuteNews.com to present short-form advertising featuring pre-roll video of 5 and 10 seconds in length, interactive rich media, and content sponsorships.

"We are creating short form advertising for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's that is specifically designed to appeal to the fast-paced Millennial Generation in a high impact, geographically targeted manner. OneMinuteNews is a great source to develop and distribute this campaign that accomplishes our task," said Brad J. Rosenberg, manager of Digital Strategy & Marketing, CKE Restaurants.

Douglas J. Greenlaw, OneMinuteNews.com founder and CEO, said the Millennials make up the largest generation in the history of the U.S., however is the most under-delivered demographic in the news and information space.
