Cheeseboy celebrates sales milestone with philanthropy promo

Cheeseboy has sold more than 1 million grilled cheese sandwiches since the company's founding in 2009. In honor of the milestone, Cheeseboy is hosting a promotion asking its: "What would you do for 1 million grilled cheese sandwiches?"

From now through Aug. 31, fans can answer the question in 200 words or less at GrilledCheeseForLife.com. All responses must demonstrate a charitable initiative in how recipients would use $10,000 to make an impact. Cheeseboy will then pick a winner, providing a $10,000 donation toward his/her charitable initiative, and honor that person with free grilled cheese sandwiches for life.

"Making a positive social impact and providing comfort to others in need are principles that I personally value, and they are pillars on which Cheeseboy was founded," said Michael Inwald, Cheeseboy's founder and president. "In an effort to continue the spirit of giving as we celebrate Cheeseboy's continued growth, I look forward to hearing what our fans would do to help make a difference in the world."

Entries will be judged on their creativity in response, appropriateness, and viability of their charitable initiative. One grand-prize winner and five runners-up will be selected by Cheeseboy's executive team. The grand-prize winner will see $10,000 donated toward their charitable initiative and receive a Cheeseboy Rewards Card valid for one grilled cheese sandwich per week for life. The five runners-up will each receive a Cheeseboy Rewards Card valid for one grilled cheese sandwich per month for a year.
