Chicago area McDonald's select new lead ad agency

The McDonald's Owner/Operators of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Co-op has named Cossette as its new lead advertising agency following a multi-national review.

According to a news release, Cossette will assume all general consumer marketing and advertising for the MOCNI co-op which includes nearly 500 McDonald's restaurants.

Cossette is McDonald's lead creative agency in Canada, handling the restaurant chain's national brand and regional owner/operator business across Canada in both English and French-speaking markets. Cossette has been a McDonald's agency in Canada for 37 years. MOCNI represents Cossette's first assignment for McDonald's in a U.S. market.

"We're thrilled to welcome Cossette and their fresh creative ideas to MOCNI," Ed Schmitt, Jr., MOCNI Co-op president, said in the release. "They have a clear passion for our business, and a proven track record with our counterparts in Canada."

Southern Arizona picks new general market AOR

Additionally this week, Mosaic Multicultural, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to multicultural markets, has been named Agency of Record for the Southern Arizona McDonald's Operator Association. As AOR, Mosaic will lead all general market and Hispanic marketing efforts for 55 McDonald's stores in Southern Arizona, according to a press release.

The agency will develop and implement strategic advertising campaigns, media buys and creative executions for the general and Hispanic markets in southern Arizona.

Mosaic also develops multicultural marketing strategies for the 227 Phoenix area McDonald's stores.
